Grown in Sichuan province, Meng Ding Yellow Buds (蒙顶黄芽) is a fermented tea from the rare yellow classification. First processed as a green tea, the leaves then undergo a heat piling fermentation process that turns the flavour from grassy to sweet and smooth with floral tones. The fermentation process gives the tea digestive benefits. It takes 80,000 – 100,000 fresh hand picked tea buds to make 1kg of this tea, very precious.
2g (1 teaspoon) per 200ml glass, 80–85°c water.
Warm the glass with hot water and discard. Add the dry tea leaves and slowly pour in the hot water. Gently rock the glass to agitate the leaves for 1-2 minutes during infusion, up to 3 infusions.
Ingredients: 100% pure yellow tea.
Store in an airtight container in a clean and dry place, avoid heat and sunlight. We recommend enjoying this tea within three months of opening.
